Business Travel Mini-Workshop Training (Part 1) Day 5

🙋Aloha Travel Practitioners.

Welcome to Day 5 of our Travel business mini-training/workshop.

đź“ŤFor day 5;
We are looking at Tourism’s relation to Travel, and comparing it to see if any difference between Travel and Tourism

Let’s delve in.

đź“ŤQuestion:
TRAVEL AND TOURISM; ARE THEY THE SAME, WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE ??

🎯Answer:

TRAVEL AND TOURISM coexist.

Both are closely connected and include similar services.

*Travel is all about moving from one point to another point regardless of the reason(s) or purpose of the travel and all the services that help people get to their points of destination from wherever the locations/points they are starting the journey are situated.

* Tourism is a form of travel and a part of the broader scope of Travel.

Tourism only occurs for specific purposes, such as leisure or business, and must satisfy all criteria to be qualified for tourism.

Understanding the basic definition and meaning of Tourism is essential to establish how the concept of tourism differs from travel.

It is fair to say all tourists qualify as travelers.

However; it is possible to travel between locations and fail to meet the criteria where you would be considered a tourist because your purpose and activity are not connected to the concept of tourism.
