đź“ŤFor day 8;
We are moving onto Air Travel.

đź“ŤQuestion:
WHAT IS AIR TRAVEL ??

🎯Answer:

Air Travel is a form of travel done by flying in the air, that is why it is termed air travel. It is described as journeying through air or space in conveyances (vehicles) such as airplanes, jets, aircraft, helicopters, hot air balloons, blimps, gliders, hang gliders, parachutes, or anything else that can sustain journeys made by flying.

However, for civil purposes, general traveling, tourism, etc; Airplanes and helicopters are usually used to convey people and goods, cargo, and mail by air from one point to another point.

To that effect, you can also describe air travel to mean the act of being in or boarding an aircraft to fly therein and alight therefrom following a flight or travel by an airline/aircraft to fly from one point to another point.

Air travel is also described as transportation by air termed air transport (air transportation) which is the movement of passengers and freight from one point to another point by any conveyance that can sustain controlled flight.

  • Conveyance here indicates the action or process of transporting or carrying someone or something from one place to another.
  • Flight is used as a NOUN to indicate a journey by air.

World bank has this to say concerning air travel: Air transport is an important enabler in achieving economic growth and development. Air transport facilitates integration into the global economy and provides vital connectivity on a national, regional, and international scale. It helps generate trade, promote tourism, and create employment opportunities.
